Who We Are

Portium is provided by Ratio et Ars LLC ("we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of the Portium app on Android, iOS and the web.

Acceptance of Terms

By using Portium, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Portium Does

Portium lets you record meals by photo or text. An AI service returns an estimate of calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat and fiber for each meal. Portium also records weight and water, and offers meal suggestions through a feature called the Steward.

Not Medical Advice

Portium is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Its estimates are approximate.

AI estimates can be wrong. Do not rely on Portium for medical decisions. Consult a qualified professional about your diet and health.

User Accounts

You may start as a guest. You may later create an account with Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Free Trial Entries

• A new guest receives 15 free entries.
• Creating an account adds up to 15 more free entries.
• Each meal analysis uses one entry. Each Steward suggestion uses one entry.
• Free entries are limited per device installation.
• When your free entries are used, a subscription is required to continue.

Subscriptions

Portium offers a monthly and an annual auto-renewing subscription. The price is the one shown in the app and on the store at the time of purchase. At the effective date of these Terms, the prices in the United States are $2.99 per month and $17.99 per year. Prices in other countries and currencies may differ. Prices may change; a change does not affect a period you have already paid for.

Subscriptions are sold and billed only through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS. The web version does not sell subscriptions. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple account when you confirm the purchase.

Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it.
• Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge.
• After you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
• Cancel or manage your subscription in the store where you bought it. Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their policies.

Acceptable Use

Use Portium lawfully. Do not upload content you have no right to share. Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or misuse the service.

Intellectual Property

The app, its design and its content belong to Ratio et Ars LLC. You keep ownership of the photos and text you record.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how it is used. You may delete your account at any time; see Account Deletion.

Termination

We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Portium is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms. The effective date above shows the latest version.
